A WORD FROM DESERET INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION
We give hope where there is none. We provide the opportunity for others to live a normal and productive life. Since 1989, the Deseret International Foundation, a volunteer-based non-profit 501(c)3, has cultivated partnerships with local doctors in an effort to establish permanent and sustainable healthcare in developing countries. We empower and elevate local medical communities to reach out to people in need. Our role is to establish a permanent Deseret program and to assist them with the items they need: supplies, equipment, facilities, and screening and campaign infrastructure; this may also include technical training. As a result, our partners--locals--continue in ongoing outreach programs of their own. Our model of delivery is extremely efficient: every $1 donation produces over $100 in medical services to those in need. Watch our video here.

Please consider donating by the mile. For example, donating 1 cent for every 20 miles covered by the expedition would amount, in the end, to a $10 donation--enough to pay for half of a life-altering surgery. Likewise:
1 cent per 10 miles = $20
1 cent per 5 miles = $40
1 cent per 2 miles = $100
1 cent per mile = $200
5 cents per mile = $1,000
10 cents per mile = $2,000
