Your destinations must possess an edge, a uniqueness, and present some sort of challenge. You seek new windows through which to view life.

Instead of a new TV or Home Improvements, Your Extra Money is Spent on Guidebooks, Climbing Gear, and Plane Tickets to Ethiopia.
For you, incredible personal memories are more important than incredible movies or a new hardwood floor. When a little extra money comes your way, you immediately begin contemplating where you are going next.

Cruises Don't Appeal to You.
Great cruise deals abound. From commercials on televsion to internet offers, we are constantly bombarded by cruise packages, which can offer a cheap and relaxing way to vacation. But for some reason, they just don't do it for you.

When People Around You Want Europe, You Crave Nepal, Zambia, and the Tierra Del Fuego.
Your friends, if they want to travel at all, seek adventure in cities like London, Paris, Berlin, and Vienna. They don't understand your fascination with places like Pakistan, Mongolia, Namibia, and Sri Lanka.

You Don't Plan Your Vacations to Relax.
Vacations are taken when you actually have free time, and free time is precious! Why waste it, you ask, on simply laying around on a beach somewhere? You'd rather take advantage of your time by hiking, biking, climbing, rafting, or otherwise exploring some crazy strip of wilderness in the Middle of Nowhere, Planet Earth.

If You're a Male, You're an Eagle Scout.
Don't diss the Boy Scouts. There may be a lot of them, but most never reach the Scouts' highest rank--that of Eagle Scout. To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, you had to learn wilderness survival abilities, hike long distances, develop a healthy respect for the outdoors, adopt a code of enviro-friendly conduct when camping and hiking, and build your skills in other areas like canoeing, climbing, and biking.
